The Players - Galaxy (LP)

First release by one of the tightest and most tasteful jazz-funk supergroups to do it. The opening title track is a clear winner, but the more mellow and meandering "Kaleidescope" and "Sunny Sidewalk" are quite magnificent. Check out these guys' resume: Chances are Hiromasa Suzuki, Akira Okazawa, Tsunehide Matsuki, and Yuichi Togashiki have played on some of your favorite records.
